In Q1 2023, the top 5 navigation and maps apps on the Android platform in Romania exhibited diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here is a closer look at the performance of each app.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced significant fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at around 12.6K in late December and reaching a peak of approximately 23.2K in mid-March. Weekly active users showed a slight decline from 355.5K at the beginning of the quarter to 311.1K by the end of March.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation from AppStar Studios saw modest weekly revenue, peaking at $21 in late December and late March. Downloads peaked at 8.5K in early January but generally declined throughout the quarter, ending at around 3.5K. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 16.8K and ending at 9.2K.

Google Earth maintained a steady performance in terms of downloads and active users. Weekly downloads ranged from 3.7K to 5.4K, with a peak in mid-March. Active users remained consistently around 30K throughout the quarter.

Atlas Navi showed a dramatic increase in downloads in mid-February, peaking at 16.2K. However, downloads dropped significantly towards the end of the quarter, reaching just 336 by the last week of March.

Lastly, GPS Navigation, Map Directions saw relatively low weekly revenue, peaking at $10 in mid-March. Downloads were highest at the beginning of January at 4.8K and then fluctuated around 1.7K towards the end of the quarter. Active users showed a slight increase from 1.5K to 1.1K by the end of March.
